Coating P. Materials Co., Ltd.’s 2025 Beach Cleanup Unites Employees and Families for Sustainability

On May 3, 2025, Coating P. Materials Co., Ltd. (CPMC) once again reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability through its annual beach cleanup event. Nearly 80 employees and their family members gathered at the Lianne Sunflower Farm in Taichung’s Dajia District before walking to Wind Turbine No. 24 along the Xishi seawall, where they actively participated in the hands-on cleanup effort.
This year’s coastal site showed notable improvement in overall cleanliness compared to previous years. However, volunteers still managed to remove 140 kilograms of recyclable waste and 165 kilograms of non-recyclable debris, including PET bottles, fishing net remnants, broken glass, and general household waste. The reduced volume of waste collected served as a positive indicator of long-term environmental progress, underscoring the value of continuous maintenance and vigilance.
 “Every time we return to this beach, we notice subtle changes. A clean shoreline doesn’t happen by accident—it’s the result of consistent effort year after year,” shared a long-time participant. Many families brought young children, making it a meaningful opportunity to introduce environmental awareness from an early age through direct engagement with nature.

In addition to the cleanup itself, participants took part in waste sorting and informal learning sessions. These activities helped deepen their understanding of how plastic pollution affects marine ecosystems and the importance of individual actions in contributing to larger sustainability goals. Several parents noted that involving children in real-world environmental activities has a greater impact than simply explaining such concepts at home. Sustainability has long been a core value at CPMC. Beyond product innovation and energy-efficient operations, the company consistently integrates ESG principles into its corporate culture. The annual beach cleanup has become one of the most meaningful events among staff, fostering a sense of unity and reinforcing the company’s dedication to social responsibility.
