The reason for the growth of market demand comes from the characteristics of flexible packaging included light weight, small size, easy to carry, reusable, high durability, low transportation cost. Solvent-free polyurethane adhesive has many advantages included 100% solid content, safety (not easy to flame or explosion), no VOCs emissions during production and meet policies of green economy and low carbon emissions. In addition, end-use goods also have no solvent problem and meet better today’s requirement of food safety.

The coating system and the glue supply system of the solvent-free equipment are different from the traditional machine (dry composite) included high automation (automatically feed, automatically control the ratio of both components, adjust the amount of glue online and save the labor cost), high production efficiency, small energy consumption, low noise and small size. In addition, drying tunnel is not necessary and can improve the production speed (the average speed is 200m/min to 300m/min, and the maximum speed can reach 400m/min).

Generally, the coating weight for solvent-free type is about 1/2~1/3 of solvent-base type, the plastic- plastic composite is between 0.8~1.5 g/m2, aluminum-plastic composite is 1.2~1.8 g/m2 and paper-plastic composite is 3.0~4.0 g/m2.

CPMC offers a full range of solvent-free polyurethane adhesives included high temperature retort type FA-876A/FA-276B which can suitable for high temperature up to 135 °C. It has high performance for lamination of aluminum foil package. In addition, our FA-873A/FA-273B also is a good choice if you have other demand for chemical resistance. These adhesives we provide could tolerate five times of concentration of ethyl maltol (the concentration of ethyl maltol of general packaging is about 0.003%~0.005%). The highest tolerated concentration can reach 0.025%. Furthermore, you don’t need to clean the tank in the process of the conversion from high-temperature type (ex FA-876A/FA-276B or FA-873A/FA-273B) to general-type (FA-818AF/FA-218BF). It can significantly increase production efficiency, and reduces manpower and waste disposal costs.
